Happy New Year to all our customers!
When retubing your sunbeds, please remember to burn your lamps in. If you’re not sure what I mean, here is an explanation:
When you retube your sunbeds, the lamps need a burn in time, in order to ensure the gases are distributed properly and the mercury is dispersed. To burn in a new lamp means to switch the lamps on and continue to run them for the suggested burn in period depending on the lamp type. Failure to do this results in the lamps not performing to their full capacity. A common mistake is to think that the lamps don’t need a burn in as the beds are really busy and therefore get switched on and off a lot. Believe me this is not an effective way of burning your lamps in. The life of the lamp will be shortened and they will never reach their total output.
For a short mount lamp, the burn in time is 30 minutes and for long mount lamps it is 60 minutes. I do realise in some cases this could cause the equipment to overheat and therefore I would suggest you have burn in times of 15 minutes, allow to cool for 5 minutes and then rerun for another 15 minutes and so on until you reach the recommended burn in time.
Most of our customers buy their lamps from us because of the excellent output and the high quality phosphors that our German manufacturer uses. Make sure you get the full benefit from your lamps by following the above and get fantastic tanning results!
